I have always liked introducing you new trends and good opportunities inside the fashion business. Here is one of them, this time handled by the public administration, trying to make people aware of this new vision of fashion industry.
The Green Closet is a new a project, a fantastic idea conceived by the British Consulate-General Milan and by UK Trade & Investment to promote eco-sustainable, environment-friendly and ethical fashion within Pitti Immagine. This second edition will offer new products (with high quality and design content) from the UK selected by Marina Iremonger, Head of Fashion & Design Unit, British Consulate General Milan.
It’s a great opportunity for buyers and people working in fashion to be aware of the new kind of textiles that really are able to help the environment, not being a hazard to the nature. As she said: “Italian buyers have finally realised that quality and uniqueness in the fashion sector go hand in hand with natural raw materials, clean manufacturing, clever use of hand skills and local resources.”
A special contribution to The Green Closet will be the bag collection specially produced for the Ethical Fashion Africa Project by one of the most important designers in the world, Vivienne Westwood.
Once upon a time there was a place where nothing wrong could happen. Everything was just magical and sweet. A place where you could feel as comfortable as at home. The place where a cupcake could figure everything out.
Molly’s Cupcakes.

When I first saw these extraordinary watercolor drawings, I fell in love with them. It’s awesome how some fashion illustrations may express so much about femininity and beauty. Let’s take a glance at them. You will go back to the 20′s and 30′s, when the fashion illustration business was breathtaking thank to some artists like Georges Lepape. You can find out more about the artist by visiting her website and you can buy her drawings as well! Good deal!
There’s no need to give so many reasons to explain why I love this store. Every detail is unique and original. I’m a little bit homesick these last weeks, looking forward to feeling the sun and the calmness that I have every time that I go back home. Due to this, I’ve been doing a research on the latest products of the new season Spring Summer 12, just imagining how wonderful it would be to have a sunny day right now (instead of these grey skies that we have in Chicago almost every single day). Anthropologie bring us a beautiful choice of products for this new season.
Enjoy my selection!
